The conference hotel

Address

Scandic Oslo Airport

Ravinevegen 15

2060 Gardermoen

Norway

The whole conference happens in one building: the talks, the breaks, the dinner and the room you sleep in. That is deliberate — most of what makes FoF worth the trip happens between the talks, and a hotel five minutes from the terminal makes it easy both to arrive and to stay.

Gardermoen has been the conference’s home for twenty years. People come from all over the country and from our Nordic neighbours, and an airport is the one place everyone can reach in a morning.

ProvisionalThe venue is not finally confirmed for 2027. The address and directions below are for Scandic Oslo Airport, which is where the conference is currently planned to be held.

Getting there

Every route to Flyoperativt Forum runs through Oslo Airport. From there it is five minutes.

  1. Air

    To Oslo Airport (OSL)

    5 min

    from the terminal

Oslo Airport is the hub for both domestic and international routes, and the hotel sits right beside it. On a morning flight from Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Bodø or Tromsø you make the first talk without an overnight stay.

  2. Rail

    From central Oslo

    ~20 min

    from Oslo S

Flytoget takes 19 minutes from Oslo S; Vy’s regional trains take a few minutes more and cost less. Both stop inside the terminal building at Oslo Airport, and the shuttle bus covers the last stretch.

  3. Car

    By car

    ~45 min

    from Oslo, 45 km

The hotel sits by the E6, just off the Oslo Airport exit. There is parking on site — the price and the terms are the hotel’s, so settle them when you book your room.

The last leg

A shuttle bus runs between the terminal and the hotel, and the trip takes about five minutes. The hotel gives you the timetable when you book your room.

Questions we are asked

Some of the answers are “not settled yet”. That is the honest answer this far ahead - the page is updated as the decisions are made.

Taking part

Who can attend?

Anyone. The conference is open, press included — no invitation is needed. Those taking part come from airlines, helicopter operators, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Safety Investigation Authority and the Air Force, and most people in the room hold operational responsibility.

When does registration open, and what does it cost?

Registration for 2027 is not open yet, and the prices are not set. Leave us your address and we will tell you the day the form goes up.

Can I come for just one day?

That is the plan — one ticket for the whole conference, and one for a single day. Exactly how the tickets are arranged is confirmed along with the prices.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. A guest seat at the conference dinner on the Tuesday evening is planned as a separate option in the registration form.

Hotel and stay

Is accommodation included?

No. You book and pay for the room yourself, directly with the hotel. If there is a rate for delegates, the booking code goes up here.

Do I have to stay at the conference hotel?

No. But a good part of the reason to come is the conversations that carry on after the last talk, and those happen there.

Is there parking?

Yes, at the hotel. The price and the terms are the hotel’s — settle them when you book your room.

Allergies, dietary needs or accessibility needs?

We ask about it in the registration form and pass it on to the kitchen and the hotel. If something comes up afterwards, an email to the secretariat is enough.

At the conference

What language are the talks in?

Norwegian and English, often within the same day — it follows whoever is on stage. There is no simultaneous interpretation.

Is the 2027 programme settled?

Not yet. Speakers and the timetable go up as they are confirmed, in the run-up to April.

See the programme page →

Are the past programmes available?

Yes — every conference since 2002, day by day, as the programme stood. It is the best way to see what kind of conference this is.
